Tournament Host Tiger Woods announced Willie Mack III as the recipient of the Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption into the 2021 Genesis Invitational field. Awarded since 2009, the exemption represents the advancement of diversity in the game of golf.
2021 Tournament Update
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Genesis Invitational will be played without spectators in attendance. The tournament, to be held February 15-21 at The Riviera Country Club, will be broadcast on GOLF Channel and CBS.

Adam Scott Officially Wins at Riviera
Adam Scott is the 2020 Genesis Invitational champion. The win is Scott’s 14th career PGA TOUR victory and moves him to Number 6 in the Official World Golf Ranking. An unofficial winner at Riviera during a shortened tournament in 2005, Scott made it official this year with a two-shot victory over a field that featured nine of the top 10 players in the world.

What a special year to be back at Riviera. I remember when I was a young boy and use to attend the tournament with my dad. It’s so exciting to now play in and host The Genesis Invitational. This is the first year the tournament has had elevated status as an invitational, joining the likes of Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer’s events.
Team Woods Takes The 2020 Celebrity Cup Powered by CDW at Riviera
The 2020 Celebrity Cup powered by CDW was won by Team Woods today at The Riviera Country Club. Team Woods, captained by Genesis Invitational host and 82-time PGA TOUR winner Tiger Woods, defeated Team Watson, captained by three-time Genesis Invitational winner Bubba Watson, to win the cup by a score of 12-9.
Sean Yu wins Collegiate Showcase
The 2020 Genesis Invitational kicked off its tournament week at The Riviera Country Club on Monday, February 10 with the sixth annual Collegiate Showcase, in which San Jose State University’s Sean Yu carded the low score, a 1-under-par 70. By virtue of being the low collegiate amateur, Yu received an exemption into the 2020 Genesis Invitational, the 72-hole PGA TOUR event beginning Thursday at The Riviera Country Club.

To kick off the 2020 Genesis Invitational, Tiger Woods will host the Celebrity Cup powered by CDW at The Riviera Country Club on Monday, February 10. Taking on Team Woods will be Team Watson, captained by Bubba Watson, a three-time tournament winner at Riviera.

The majority of the 120-player field for The Genesis Invitational was confirmed today. The 94th edition of the tournament and its first year with invitational status, will be held Feb. 10-16 at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Tiger Woods announced Joseph Bramlett as the recipient of the Charlie Sifford Memorial exemption into the 2020 Genesis Invitational field. Awarded since 2009, the exemption has represented the advancement of diversity in the game of golf. “It’s great seeing Joseph back on TOUR,” Woods said. “The determination to rebuild his swing and regain his card shows the perseverance Charlie would have admired. I look forward to seeing Joseph at Riviera this year.”
A course for the players
The Riviera Country Club is located right on the coastline of the entertainment capital of the world, just miles Los Angeles. Riviera has been the host of major golf tournaments since as early as 1948, which include the U.S. Open, the PGA Championship, and now The Genesis Invitational. Originally established in 1926, Riviera is known for its older course that many of the players enjoy.

In February 2019, PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan announced alongside tournament host Tiger Woods that the 90-plus year event played annually at The Riviera Country Club will become an invitational beginning with the 2020 tournament.
