Genesis and TGR Foundation continue partnership by advancing access to STEAM education
In continuation of programming through its partnership with TGR Foundation, Genesis employees recently volunteered at the TGR Learning Lab in Anaheim, California to advance access to science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) education for youth in the community. Partnering with Child Creativity Lab, Genesis hosted workshops at the TGR Learning Lab where members participating in the after-school program learned how to develop their own future mobility vehicles using reclaimed and upcycled materials.
A Masterful Showcase
It has been said that playing well at Riviera can lead to success at Augusta National. While winning at one course doesn’t necessarily mean guaranteed success at the other, putting together a solid four rounds in Los Angeles in February can be a barometer for what’s to come in April. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is just the latest example of this theory.
My Eight-Year Golf Journey: How it Shapes My Motivation for My Future
As a TGR Learning Lab member, I had the honor of attending the 2024 Genesis Invitational, hosted by Tiger Woods. It was a time of opportunity, and I’m very thankful to represent the programs TGR Foundation has to offer. I first attended in 2019 and was extremely delighted to have been invited back. It felt like a reunion. I went with other TGR Learning Lab members to experience the tournament as spectators, take a glimpse behind the scenes, and explore possible careers.
Hideki’s day
A perfect round vaulted Hideki Matsuyama to a three-shot victory at The Riviera Country Club in the 2024 Genesis Invitational. Nine birdies on the round propelled the 2021 Masters champion to a final-round 62, one shot off the course record. Matsuyama’s 62 in the final round is the best final round score at Riviera on the PGA TOUR.
Eighteen holes to go
Moving day lived up to its billing Saturday at The Riviera Country Club during the third round of the 2024 Genesis Invitational. Patrick Cantlay continues to hold the lead as he has after each round this week but what was a comfortable cushion has shrunk to two shots. Cantlay’s 14-under-par 199 through 54 holes leads Xander Schauffele and Will Zalatoris, who are tied for second at 12-under.
Cantlay creates a cushion
Patrick Cantlay teed off Round 2 of the 2024 Genesis Invitational with the 18-hole lead. Throughout the afternoon, the Long Beach, Calif. native cushioned his margin on the field, posting the clubhouse lead at 13-under-par 129 after 36-holes. The trio of Jason Day, Luke List and Mackenzie Hughes are tied for second at 8-under, five shots back.
Can’t Stop Cantlay
The Riviera Country Club felt very familiar for Patrick Cantlay on Thursday during the first round of the 2024 Genesis Invitational. The UCLA product surged to the top of the leaderboard with a 7-under-par 64 to hold the first-round lead by one shot over Cam Davis, Luke List and Jason Day.

Year of the Byrd
No matter the level, winning four times during a golf season is a major accomplishment. Major similarities
All eyes are on the City of Angels once more as the U.S. Open returns to Los Angeles for the first time in 75 years. Last hosted at the Riviera Country Club in 1948, the site of the 123rd U.S. Open championship will be located just down the road at The Los Angeles Country Club’s North Course.
The roar returned
When looking back at the 2023 Genesis Invitational, memorable moments have been written in the history books for years to come. Sunday’s final round, highlighted by a back-nine duel between Jon Rahm and 2021 champion Max Homa, saw incredible shots, epic putts and a fist pump that shook the course. Rahm’s victory was his third of the PGA TOUR season and vaulted him to No. 1 in the world ranking. However, one of the lasting memories from the 2023 tournament was the return of Tournament Host Tiger Woods to PGA TOUR competition for the first time in more than six months.
Rahm wins at Riv
The golf world has a new No. 1 player after Jon Rahm shot a final-round 2-under-par 69 at The Riviera Country Club en route to two-shot victory at The Genesis Invitational. Rahm roars into the lead
Jon Rahm has been knocking on the door ever since he first teed it up at The Genesis Invitational four years ago, and the world’s third-ranked player has put himself in solid position to walk away from Riviera Country Club with the trophy. He’ll have to hold off two Southern California natives, however, as the stage is set for a Sunday filled with Hollywood drama.

When Max Homa won The Genesis Invitational in 2021, he opened with a first-round 66 that included just one bogey in his hometown tournament.
