United Airlines surprises Earl Woods Scholar at Riviera

Meet Yohanne Ndoumbe, an Earl Woods Scholar at TGR Foundation. Yohanne currently attends Woodbury University in Burbank, California far away from her home in Washington D.C. Yohanne attended the Genesis Open at The Riviera Country Club as a volunteer at the TGR Learning Lab tent in Family Village. Little did Yohanne know she was in for a surprise from her mother Martine as United Airlines, the Genesis Open and TGR Foundation partner to connect their family at the 2019 tournament.

United Airlines flew Martine and Yohanne’s cousin from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles in order to surprise Yohanne on Friday February 15, 2019 at the tournament. Also part of the surprise was Yohanne’s sister who lives in LA. While working as a volunteer at the United Airlines Putting Course at Family Village, Yohanne was re-united with her family.
