THE FIELD

The Genesis Invitational annually attracts one of the strongest fields in golf and this year will be no different. As the February 13th commitment deadline nears, many of the world’s top players have already secured an invitation to compete at The Riviera Country Club.

As a player-hosted Signature Event on the PGA TOUR, players earn their invites through the following set of eligibility categories:

  1. Top 50 players in the prior season’s FedExCup points list (listed below)
  2. Players who finished nos. 51-60 on the prior season’s final FedExCup Fall points list (listed below)
  3. Swing 5: Top five FedExCup points earners from the Sony Open through the WM Phoenix Open
  4. Current-year tournament winners
  5. Leading finisher from the Race to Dubai not otherwise exempt (listed below)
  6. PGA TOUR members in the top-30 of OWGR on Monday February 16th
  7. Special Invitational: in addition to the four (4) tournament invitations, The Genesis Invitational also will award the annual Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption to a deserving recipient who represents the advancement of diversity in our sport. (listed below)
